We are looking for Community Advisors!
Our Goal: to ensure the best possible outcome and welfare for every animal in our community that is affected by a disaster.
Learning from the huge volunteer outreach during the Sonoma County fires, we are moving forward to coordinate the umbrella of animal disaster response. We are taking an all-hazards and all-species approach, and invite all interested partnerships, community members and animal-loving entities to please be involved! Our goal is to provide the platform, resources and database of who is available, for what animals, and where, as well as a trusted resource for up-to-date information on emergencies occurring in or near Sonoma County. To do this, we need your help!
Why be a Sonoma CART Community Advisor?
Work in concert with other local agencies and Emergency Services.
Streamline evacuation, animal care, sheltering and fostering.
Stop the redundancy of aid (trailer jams), and inaccuracy of social media posts.
Be recognized as an advisor of Sonoma CART on our website.
Are you prepared? We can help direct you to the right resources.
Understand current Sonoma County regulations and requirements.
We are still in the planning stages, and solely volunteer run at this point. We would greatly appreciate your financial support for equipment, planning and start-up fees.
